One of the challenges of any program directed toward skill acquisition, asset development and behavior change is developing the methodology and resources to assist enrolled students in continuing to practice and maintain acquired skills during unstructured times, such as school holidays. The purpose of School Holiday Services is to provide students with daily ongoing individualized skill-building and behavior stabilization in academically stimulating environments that promote asset development in community settings.
PASSWORD Mentors provide support services to enrolled youth during the Indianapolis Public School (IPS) fall break, Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, and Presidents’ Day. These services are provided at no additional expense to IPS or the families, and all enrolled PASSWORD participants were invited to attend this program.
